Travel grants (members only)

SRUK/CERU offers micro-grants to help members to travel to Liverpool for the VII International Symposium, where you can present your research work in a multidisciplinary environment and attend the Annual General Meeting on 30th June.

If you want to apply for one of these micro-grants, please send a ONE-page CV (highlighting your role within SRUK/CERU if applicable), the title of your communication and your current affiliation to this e-mail address by 14th June.

The number of micro-grants will depend on the funds available. We will fund a percentage of the travel expenses depending on the distance to Liverpool. The amount will be approximately as follows:

  • Members coming from the North-west constituency: up to £5.
  • Members coming from the Scotland and Yorkshire constituencies: up to £15.
  • Members coming from the North-East and Midlands constituencies: up to £30.
  • Members coming from the London, South-West, Cambridge, Oxford, and Northern Ireland constituencies: up to £50.

Science Zone grants

The Lilly Foundation is sponsoring this public engagement event, and has committed funding to support those people whose ideas have been accepted to be part of the festival. If you have submitted an idea for the Science Zone we will contact you soon to let you know the details of external funding application.
